You will note all of the various services that are available to help you in this effort. For example people have home businesses where they do SEO, which involves keyword research, submitting links, and building backlinks from blog and article promotion.
You may be doing these tasks yourself when you first start out and you can take this two ways at this fork in the road. You can decide you are making enough money to have someone else do these things for you, saving you some time and increasing your promotions. Or you can realize that this is another possible source of income for you if you were to perform these services for others.
So now your home businesses are affiliate marketing and Internet marketing services. This is taking the concept of ‘multiple streams of income’ a step farther than just having many programs you market to earn commissions.

Because you can like what you do or do what you like, you have the power to do it whenever you wish. If you are a morning person, that is when you will work. A person who works better at night can have this freedom, as well, with nobody to answer to but yourself.
So, now you need to decide what it is you will be doing. And there are two rules to working at home. The first one is that you should like what you are doing. The second is to try not to get distracted, so that in fact you do make something of a salary from home. And the distractions will be there. Priorities, of course, will come first. But if it can wait, and you would rather make more money, you need to make that decision.
So, what are you good at? And will it make you a lot of money? Well, maybe not. But you will need to decide what amount you would like to earn, and you will need to be reasonable about it.
The choices you will have are many. There are the auction sites. Everyone has a lot of extra stuff they are not using. And the trash of one person is the treasure of another. So you can sell it this way. If you find that the selling fees are adding up, you may want to try a free classified ad. If you are handy with the sewing machine, you might try personalizing t-shirts or jeans and sell them at flea markets and swap meets. Or maybe you like making costume jewelry. There are also consignment shops that will take old clothes or certain crafts that you make. If you are an artist, your work may lead to shows and contests, or you can start a web site and sell your paintings that way.
You need to find either a talent that you alone have, or something you really enjoy doing, or both. Then you can put together your own business and earn money from home.
